Microsoft updates VIVA Sales with artificial intelligence-based experience


Microsoft is updating VIVA Sales with a new generative experience based on artificial intelligence to help salespeople communicate more effectively with customers and new prospects.

The service uses Open AI’s GPT-3.5 service – an AI-based language model – to generate suggested email responses that salespeople can use in various scenarios, including answering a question or making a sales proposal. It also includes data relevant to the specific recipient, such as prices, promotions and deadlines.

To enhance the existing call intelligence capabilities in Viva Sales, Microsoft will also use natural language processing technology to generate call summaries, detect questions, calculate critical performance indicators, extract action items, and so on.

The new AI capabilities help sales teams save time and will also remind salespeople when it’s time to follow up on emails.
