Microsoft Entra: Increased security with new cybersecurity tools

Microsoft recently introduced a series of new security tools and features for the Microsoft Entra product line. These updates are designed to assist companies in strengthening their security infrastructure and protection against advanced cyber attacks.

“Given the growing complexity of cyber attacks and the increasing reliance on cloud services and mobile devices, it is critical that companies have effective tools to manage their security,” Microsoft said. “Our new features provide customers with a holistic security solution that meets all of their security needs.”

Microsoft has launched a new recommendation feature for Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) that enables monitoring and optimization of Azure AD deployments. This feature allows IT administrators to analyze resource usage data and configurations to improve the security, reliability and performance of their Azure resources.

Microsoft also introduced a new feature that provides expanded device management capabilities with custom roles in Azure Active Directory. This update allows IT administrators to enable, disable, delete, read and update BitLocker recovery key/metadata/device registration policies.

Microsoft Authenticator now introduces passwordless login on iOS devices.

Users can now enable passwordless login on all supported iOS devices, but this new experience does not support guest accounts.

Finally, IT administrators can now use cloud settings to enable Azure AD B2B collaboration. This feature is available globally to both commercial and government Azure customers.

Overall, these new security tools and features represent an important step in the fight against mounting cyber threats. Microsoft also plans to add more features later this year to help customers protect sensitive information within their organizations.
