You’ll soon be able to delete chats in Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams gets a new feature with the tag 90723 in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap. The feature allows users to remove 1:1 chats, group chats and meeting chats from Teams’ desktop or mobile application.
However, the chats are deleted only on the user’s side. The conversation history is not affected for other group chat or meeting chat participants. The feature will be rolled out in early December and is expected to be widely available by mid-December.
To access this feature, you must click on the bell icon at the top and select the Delete option to delete your chat list.
Administrators also have the option to disable this feature through the management portal under message policy. Users in the tenant cannot access the feature from this point forward.
In other Teams-related news, Teams PWA for Linux users recently reached general availability, closing the gap between the Teams desktop client on Linux and Windows.
