The new Dynamic View feature from Microsoft Teams is coming in March.
In July 2020, Microsoft announced a new dynamic display feature for traditional video conferencing. This feature allows users more control over how they experience video conferencing. Dynamic view uses AI to optimize shared content and video participants. Users can also change the meeting view based on their needs.
As you can see in the GIF above, video participants get a prominent space and the audio participants are listed in the new side panel. Users can also pin certain attendees in their meeting view based on their preferences.
Microsoft recently updated the Office 365 roadmap and confirmed that the feature will now be released in March 2021.
The feature is preceded by new custom meeting layouts, which place participants in virtual environments, such as lecture halls or amphitheatres, which will appear in February.
