Microsoft turns the Elgato Stream Deck into a handy work tool

Microsoft recently launched a Teams plug-in for the Elgato Stream Deck, the ultra-popular tool used by Twitch streamers, YouTubers and anyone who wants quick commands available at the touch of a button.

If you’re not sure what on earth this thing does, let me explain. Whether you make a clip of your gameplay or set your chat to subscriber-only mode, this device makes it easy. Instead of clicking around in multiple Windows, just press one of the 15 physical buttons and voila! It performs your pre-programmed action. Microsoft goes one step further by turning this gaming tool into a handy work tool.

The Teams plug-in is now available for download. With this extension, you can easily record your Teams meeting, blur your background, raise or lower your hand, turn your camera on or off and much more, all at the touch of a button. It’s a handy plug-in, that’s for sure, but you need an Elgato Stream Deck to use it, which costs $150 on Amazon. However, if you are in back-to-back Teams meetings and happen to own Stream Deck, we highly recommend you go ahead and download it. It will make your professional life a lot easier.

If you want to set up your Stream Deck with this plug-in, you should check out Microsoft’s Tech Community message. The company went ahead and provided useful step-by-step visuals.
