Microsoft Teams will be able to pin chat messages next month

Last year, Microsoft announced it would add the ability to pin chat messages sometime in the future. It now looks like the company is almost ready to roll out the feature to the general public. According to the Microsoft 365 roadmap page , the ability to pin chat messages will be available to Microsoft Teams users next month.

While the roadmap doesn’t go into detail about the release date, the feature will be available for Teams Mac and PC clients at launch. The company may bring it to mobile customers sometime in the future, but we’re not aware of anything that indicates the company is actively working on it at the moment.

For those of you who don’t know, the ability to pin chat messages gives you the ability to pin a Teams chat message to give chat members quick access to important content, keeping your team in sync on what’s relevant in a timely manner.

The feature was supposed to come out last year, but for some reason Microsoft had to push the date back to 2022. Hopefully it won’t get any further delays.

Meanwhile, Microsoft will be introducing a number of new features in its collaboration tool next month, including the Fluent Designed-based emojis . Apart from that, the ability to hide your video , video filters will also be introduced in Microsoft Teams in the coming months.

If you’re a Microsoft Teams user, these features will come in handy. We have to wait quite a while.
