Microsoft Sets Daily Limits On Bing AI Calls

Initial feedback on Microsoft’s artificial intelligence (AI)-powered Bing search engine, Edge web browser and integrated chat feature has been overwhelmingly positive. Improved search results, expanded responses and content generation capabilities can be seen in more than 169 countries thanks to the new features. In particular, the chat feature has attracted a significant audience, with individuals asking many questions within a single session in an effort to learn more.

People have said the conversation is easy to use and friendly, with a decent distribution of informative answers. Users gave Bing’s AI-powered responses a huge “thumbs up,” with 71%. Despite good answers, Bing can become monotonous and useless in longer conversational periods of 15 or more questions. Microsoft has made adjustments to better facilitate call flow in an effort to solve this problem.

Therefore, there is now a limit of 50 chats per day, with a maximum of five per session. Once five rounds have passed in a conversation; individuals will be asked to start a new discussion. Once each call ends, the model’s memory is cleared to avoid confusion. Users can start over at any time by clicking on the broom symbol to the left of the search bar.

Microsoft’s new features are always being refined in response to customer input. For queries that require real-time information, such as live sports statistics, the company plans to improve the underlying data. To further personalize the answer to the user’s question, Microsoft is considering including a switch for control over the balance between accuracy and imagination in the answer.
