Microsoft Outlook for the Web is now optimized to fit in the Edge sidebar
The recently introduced Sidebar is one of the most talked about features in the Microsoft Edge browser in recent times. Allows users to launch useful apps such as Outlook without leaving the current tab. Recently, Microsoft seems to have fixed one of the most frequently reported problems related to Outlook’s sidebar optimization.
Microsoft Outlook for the Web has been available in Edge Sidebar for some time, but it was not properly optimized to fit in the sidebar window. Until now, users had to scroll horizontally and vertically to see the entire page, making it super inconvenient to use the email service. As noted by a Reddit user you/Leopeva64-2, Microsoft has begun testing an optimized version of Outlook Web for launch in the Edge Sidebar.
Microsoft Outlook in the Edge Sidebar is similar to the Outlook.com experience, except you can’t add multiple accounts if you use the optimized version of Microsoft’s sidebar e-mail client. But it’s never too late to add something useful to make a service more useful, so we hope the software giant will bring support for multiple Outlook accounts to the sidebar window in the coming days.
It is worth remembering that the Sidebar feature is only available to the latest version of Edge users. And if you are using the latest stable Edge, none of this may sound very new to you. Anyway, you can view some of the screenshots below to understand how users can use Outlook and other apps in the sidebar window.
Enabling Edge Sidebar
Enabling the sidebar in Microsoft Edge is quick and easy. Once the browser opens, click on the three dots to the right of your profile picture. You will see the Enable Sidebar option at the bottom of the list. Click on it and the sidebar will appear on your right.
