“Do you guys see it coming … or is it already too late?”

Many SMBs rely on the idea, “things will work out ” – until they don’t. So what?

Then you get this kind of situation:

❌ The server suddenly fills up
❌ SharePoint becomes slow or inaccessible
❌ Someone accidentally deletes 300 files
❌ A device doesn’t appear to be getting any updates for weeks
❌ The hard drive is full
❌ The antivirus no longer works

Health of your IT: how do you monitor it?

We asked entrepreneurs the other day in a poll:

📊 How do you keep track of the health of your IT?

  • 🟦 “We get notifications in advance” – 59%

  • 🟨 “We occasionally check ourselves” – 18%

  • 🟥 “No idea actually – usually goes well” – 6%

  • ❓ “What do you mean by ‘health’?” – 18%

So nearly half rely on their own vigilance or “it will be okay. Until things go wrong…

Why monitoring does work

Well-functioning IT you don’t hear anyone about. Until it fails.
But with good monitoring, you can get ahead of problems:

✅ You get automatic alerts when something threatens to go wrong
✅ You avoid sudden downtime, stress or repair costs
✅ You keep a grip on what is happening – without having to check everything yourself

Why this is especially important for SMBs

In many SMBs, IT is “in there.” There is no separate IT department. Often someone takes care of it “on the side” or depends on an external party. But just then, keeping an eye on your systems is crucial.

📉 Because downtime or data loss costs not only money, but also trust with your customers.
