6 terabytes of corporate data stolen – could it happen to you?

🚨 It was recently announced that hacker group INC Ransom captured as much as 6 terabytes (!) of data from big names such as Ahold Delhaize, Albert Heijn, Etos, Gall & Gall and bol.com.
And no, this is not science fiction. This is happening right now.

Large organizations are often more secure than many SMEs. Yet they were victims. What does that mean for your organization?

If your company loses data, the consequences are huge:

  • 📉 Image damage and loss of customers

  • ⚖️ Fines and legal claims

  • 🛑 Productivity loss and downtime

  • 😨 Or just pure panic: “Now what?”

This is also reflected in our poll¹:

  • 55% mainly fear image damage and customer loss

  • 22% fear legal consequences

  • 12% fear productivity and downtime

  • 12% have “no idea, but would rather not…”

What can you do now to prevent this?

At ALTA-ICT B.V., we help organizations prevent these disasters. Not by nice stories, but by practical solutions:

✅ Set Zero Trust: trust nothing and control everything
Data Minimization: keep only what is really needed
Encryption: encrypt data even if it is stolen
Monitoring: real-time insight into suspicious activity

Rather action now, than excuses afterwards
