Outlook: Prioritize My Inbox with Microsoft 365 Copilot

🔥 What is “Prioritize My Inbox”?

With this new feature, Copilot analyzes your inbox and marks high or low priority emails so you can focus faster on what really matters.

✅ Highlights:

• Copilot scans your inbox and marks important high-priority emails.
• Optionally, you can also have low-priority emails flagged.
• The feature is opt-in, so users must activate it themselves through a simple wizard.

 

 

🗓 When is this feature available?

📅 April 2025 – Microsoft begins rollout for Outlook for Windows and web (English).
🌎 Other clients and languages will follow later

 

 

🔄 How does it work?

1️⃣ Opt-in required – Users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license can enable the feature themselves.
2️⃣ Access via Copilot menu – The “Prioritize” option appears in the Copilot dropdown in Outlook.
3️⃣ Setup wizard – A simple wizard helps users enable the feature.

🚨 Major limitations:

• Works only in your main inbox, not in other folders.
• Not available for shared or group mailboxes.
• Limited availability – Microsoft is rolling out the feature in phases on a first come, first serve basis.

 

📌 What does this mean for your organization?

🔹 Users must enable the feature themselves.
🔹 IT administrators cannot (yet) determine who does/does not get the feature.
🔹 There is a limit on the number of users who can enroll in the first phase.
