Microsoft makes it easier to share to Microsoft Teams from Outlook on the Web.

Microsoft is working on closer integration between Microsoft Teams and Outlook.

The Microsoft 365 roadmap indicates that the company plans to make sharing Outlook on the web to Microsoft Teams easier.

The message reads:

Outlook: Outlook on the web – share with Microsoft Teams

Send a copy of email messages or conversations, including attachments, to Teams chats and channels, or start a Teams chat related to a specific email message. When sharing with Teams from Outlook on the web, a pop-up window appears to confirm which channel or person you want to share with. You can also select whether you want to add attachments or not.

This feature allows users to share an email or email thread directly from Outlook on the web with a Teams channel or person, without forwarding or exporting the email.

The roadmap suggests that the feature will not be available until sometime in March 2021 and should be available to all class users.
