Discover the power of Microsoft’s Bing AI for yourself now – No more waiting list!
Microsoft announced on May 4 that Bing Chat, powered by GPT-4, is now available for anyone to try out with a Microsoft account. Previously, users had to be on a waiting list to chat with Bing, but that is no longer the case. Although Bing Chat is still in the preview phase, all users can now access the feature through the Microsoft Edge browser and the Bing app on Android and iOS, using their Microsoft accounts.
Thanks to its partnership with OpenAI , Microsoft has brought Bing back into the spotlight. The AI features attract more people to use the service. While not perfect, Bing Chat has improved significantly since its launch. Using OpenAI’s DALL-E software infrastructure, Bing can now generate images within seconds. In addition, Bing Chat is tightly integrated into the Edge browser, allowing users to get a summary of a long report they are currently viewing in a browser tab. Bing is located in the Edge sidebar and can be accessed with just one click.
All benefits previously available only to Bing waiting list members are now available to everyone. However, the process of getting on the waiting list and accessing Bing AI was not very time-consuming, as Microsoft made it quite simple and less time-consuming just a few weeks after launch. By removing the waiting list requirement, Microsoft has just removed a small barrier.
According to the company, Microsoft Bing AI is used by more than 100 million users daily. This milestone was reached several weeks after the official launch, when people still had to join the waiting list. Now that the waiting list requirement no longer exists, it will be interesting to see how many daily active users will increase in the coming days.
Microsoft has announced the elimination of the waiting list requirement for access to Bing AI. Anyone with a Microsoft account can now use Bing Chat in the Edge web browser and the Bing app on Android and iOS.
