Microsoft will ask for your help choosing the following default Office font.

Something to look forward to: Microsoft doesn’t often change the default font of its office applications. The last time was in 2007, when Calibri Times replaced New Roman. Fourteen years have passed since then, and Microsoft wants to do it again, but this time with the help of Microsoft 365 users. Of the five custom fonts Microsoft has ordered, users have to choose one, but even if your favorite doesn’t win, Microsoft keeps them all available in Microsoft 365 apps. The five new fonts available for picking up are called Tenorite, Bierstadt, Skeena, Seaford and Grandview. Microsoft’s design team will evaluate the fonts together with cloud app users in the coming months and expects them to express their opinions via social media after they have tried them out.

You can now convert a Microsoft Word document to a PowerPoint presentation.

A while ago, Microsoft announced that it would soon support converting Word documents to PowerPoint presentations. If this sounds like a useful feature for your workflow, you’re in luck; Microsoft has released the conversion tool as of today. Microsoft has posted all the juicy details on the Tech Community website. The news was no surprise, as Microsoft has alluded to this feature in the past. However, it is now available for public use. There is a small catch; you cannot use the feature yet in the software version of Word. It’s currently only in Word for the web, so you need to use Microsoft’s cloud office service to convert Word documents to PowerPoint.
